One person, ten years, 47 sites.
I am Charliemen Runa. Most people call me Charlie. Building websites since 2015, trading as Charliez Digital since 2020.
How this started
I started building websites for other people in 2015. The studio has traded as Charliez Digital since 2020, but the work goes back further than the name does.
I kept it up because small businesses kept paying real money for sites that did not bring them work. Not badly designed sites. Fine looking sites that nobody could find and that nobody enquired through.
The pattern repeated often enough to become the whole business. A roofer paying for shared leads while his own site sat on page four. A boutique buying more traffic into a store that lost people at checkout. A security firm with genuine enterprise credentials losing tenders to competitors who were simply easier to find.
None of those were design problems. They were structure problems wearing a design costume, and they are what I have spent six years learning to fix.

Four positions I do not move on.
Audit before opinion
I look at your analytics, your competitors and your build before I recommend anything. You get the findings whether or not you hire me. It costs me a couple of hours and it has never once cost me a client.
Say the unwelcome thing
If your site does not need a rebuild, I will tell you, even though the rebuild is the bigger invoice. If a keyword is out of reach this year, I will say that before you pay for the attempt.
Nothing that has to be undone later
No bought links, no fake addresses, no doorway pages with a town name swapped in. Every one of those works for a while and then costs the client more than it ever made them.
Results over decoration
Design that does not move rankings, enquiries or revenue is expensive decoration. It should be good looking as well. It should not be good looking instead.
Where I am, and where my clients are
I work from Quezon City in the Philippines. My clients are mostly in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia, with occasional projects in New Zealand and Ireland.
I work 7am to 7pm Pacific, Monday to Friday. In practice the distance shows up less than people expect, because the work runs on written scopes, a live staging link and recorded walkthroughs rather than on meetings.
Alongside the studio I am Senior VP Technology at Neon Sky Group in Henderson, Nevada. I built their site before I joined them, which is a reasonable summary of how most of my working relationships start.
Running technology for an operating company rather than only advising one keeps me honest. It is a different thing to own the decision, live with the maintenance and answer for the numbers afterwards, and it has changed how I scope work for clients.
The working stack, not a logo wall.
Build
WordPress, Elementor Pro, Bricks, Shopify and WooCommerce. Next.js, React, Node and Python with PostgreSQL where a project needs a real application. Hand written HTML and CSS where a CMS would only add weight.
Search
Search Console, GA4, RankMath, SearchAtlas, PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix, plus manual testing across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and AI Overviews.
Measure and automate
WhatConverts for call tracking, Looker Studio for reporting, Make.com and OpenAI API integrations for the repetitive parts.
Common questions
Who actually does the work?
I do. There is no team, no account manager and no subcontracting without telling you. That is the reason I take a small number of projects at a time rather than filling a pipeline and then hiring to cover it.
You are in the Philippines and I am not. How does that work?
I work 7am to 7pm Pacific, Monday to Friday, which covers the whole US working day plus UK afternoons and Australian mornings. Everything also runs through shared documents, a live staging link and recorded walkthroughs, so you are not dependent on catching me at a particular moment. Most clients say they hear from me more than they did from the agency they used before.
What do you refuse to do?
Buy links, build fake location listings, write content designed to trick a model rather than inform a reader, or promise a ranking date on a competitive term. All four work briefly and cost the client more than they ever earned.
What is your background?
A decade building and ranking sites for small businesses, alongside my role as Senior VP Technology at Neon Sky Group in Henderson, Nevada. WordPress and Shopify are the daily platforms, and increasingly Next.js and React where a project needs a real application behind it.
